Koh Samui

Koh Samui is the third largest island of Thailand after Phuket and Koh Chang and one of the most popular destinations for travelers. In recent years it developed to a tropical beach resort but still maintained its charm and has everything to offer - from coconut tree fringed beaches to tropical jungles to a vibrant nightlife. Popular beaches are Chaweng, Lamai, Bophut & Maenam. Accommodations range from bungalows and villas to 5 star boutique resorts and are suitable for all budgets. Restaurants of all flavors invite for delicious wining and dining and spas and massage facilities for rejuvenation. Activities include elephant trekking, canoeing, sailing, diving, golfing, fishing, biking and all you can think of. There is also a lot to see, like waterfalls, temples and jungles as well as a butterfly garden, an aquarium and tiger zoo, monkey theatre, snake and crocodile farm and a tropical zoo to name some. Day tours to the neighbor islands of Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and the Angthong Marine National Park are well worth to attend. Direct flights to Samui airport from Bangkok, Singapore and Hongkong as well as ferry services from Suratthani makes Ko Samui easy accessible. Koh Samui is a pearl in the Gulf of Siam, located a little under an hours flight from Bangkok and little over an hours flight from Singapore, it truly is only a ‘stonesthrow’ from the rest of South East Asia, and the world.

This tropical paradise was first discovered by holiday makers, when two backpackers landed on pristine white sands catching a lift on a coconut barge in the early 1970’s, and since then Koh Samui has grown in popularity year by year.

Samui has now become a tropical haven for both backpackers and high class holiday makers alike, where you can still see quaint little bungalows nestled between boutique Five star hotels. And luxurious Villas set amongst the mountainous jungle, many with celebrity owners from the world of sports, stage and screen.

Chaweng Beach is officially the hot spot on Koh Samui, stretching 7km long with soft white sand, and surrounded by the clear blue waters of the Gulf of Siam, with a coral reef near by, the waves are broken and the bay is left with gentle lapping water. There are also two islands near by, one within walking distance at low tide and one offering spectacular snorkelling and kayaking.

After yet another perfect sunset, Chaweng lights its self up for the evening ahead. Dining here is an experience of a life time, and the choice is extensive, choose from international cuisine cooked by world renowned chefs to traditional Thai food such as Green and Red Curry.

Chaweng then offers an array of entertainment from live shows, traditional Thai dancing and top class Djs in chic bars and night clubs, Chaweng has something for everyone.

With the introduction of the International Airport, Koh Samui has never been more accessible, with hourly flights to and from Thailand’s capitol Bangkok, and flights arriving daily from other exotic locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, The Maldives and many more.

The Library located on Chaweng beach, East coast of the island. The Airport is only 15 minutes drive away.

Most islands comprise limestone masses reaching heights of up to 400 metres, and fringed by beaches and rain forest. An emerald saltwater lake known as Tha-le Nai (Inland Sea) on Ko Mae Ko is the park’s major scenic attraction, and entails a mildly strenuous climb. The resultant views are well worth the effort. Another popular venue is Ko Sam Sao where an extensive span of coral reef and a huge rock arch offer scenic fascination.

Note : Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park will be closed yearly during November 1- November 30.

Koh Nang Yuan

The island is nothing but a group of three small islands located to the north of Ko Tao. Offering stunning and breathtaking views, the islands are connected by a three-way stretch of pure white powdery beach. The rich marine life at Ko Nang Yuan is similar to that of Ko Tao. With a wide variety of coral formations, the island is also an ideal diving and snorkeling spot. Accommodations and facilities are available with daily boat service to and from Ko Tao.
